Ruth Roche & Arthur Peddy

The daughter of a United States senator and assistant to scientist Dr. Abraham Davis Sandra Knight was fated to a life of adventure.

Dr. Davis who was working with Sandra on experiments with black light before the second world war, was kidnapped. A subsequent attempt to kidnap her father was foiled when Sandra rushed from the darkness, knocking the would-be attackers unconscious. She was not clearly seen by either her father or the kidnappers.

Enjoying her adventure she resolved to continue. Confiding in her cousin Ted Knight (Starman I) they rescued Dr. Davis, who later perfected a black light ray projector that Sandra would use to make herself invisible while fighting crime as the Phantom Lady.
