Origin

The only child of Henry and Anna Jones, Henry Jones Jr. was born in 1899. As a young boy "Junior," as his father called him, had the constant companion of his dog Indiana. In fact the young Jones disliked being called Junior so much that he adopted his pet's name.

The young "Indiana" Jones traveled the world with his parents due to his father's studies of the Holy Grail; a legendary and mystically powered cup used by Jesus Christ of Nazareth during his last meal with his disciples, before the holy man's incarceration and execution for heresy. Travels with his parents fostered an interest of archeology which would lead to a life of adventure in search of the worlds' history - and events that are part of the legend of Indiana Jones.
