The daughter of a wealthy Virginia family, Peggy Carter was idealistically dedicated to ending the forces of tyranny in Europe. Traveling to France, Carter joined the French resistance against the Nazi occupation.
Valiant and a highly capable espionage agent and fighter, Carter would join the battle alongside Captain America. Although the two would become romantically involved, she never revealed her true name to anyone, including him, only going by the cryptic codename of Agent 13.
