While on a boating trip to Lake Michigan, the Willis family encountered a freak wind storm caused by the appearance of a miniature black-hole singularity in the sky above their boat. The Willis' teen son, Greg was consumed by the black-hole. After the storm passed he was later found in the lake. In time the young Willis discovered that he could control the force of gravity.
Applying to New York University, Willis planned to use his powers to join the superhuman community and market his image as the latest sensation known as Gravity.
